Most of the kiln-direct pallet kilns are based on a direct fired gas heating system. However, we do offer hot water and steam systems. It is our opinion that the direct gas system offers the most efficient heating method (nearly 100% burning efficiency) and the shortest possible treatment time. Although the direct gas heating system in theory will create a drier climate, we have found that the shorter treatment time and the humidity from the pallet will provide you with little or no signs of drying damage.
